Submission Now Open for the Sustainable Adria Awards 2026

15/01/2026

Nominations are officially open for the Sustainable Adria Awards 2026 – a regional recognition honoring individuals, companies, and initiatives that have made concrete and measurable contributions to sustainable development in the Adria region.

The awards are presented as part of the Adria Future Summit in four categories: Leader of the Year, Business of the Year, Innovation of the Year, and Initiative of the Year.

The goal of the Sustainable Adria Awards, as emphasized by Aleksandra Njagulj, co-founder of Sustineri Partners and a member of the jury, is to identify and highlight practices that connect sustainability with real social and economic impact in the long term. These recognitions, she notes, are not only a reward for achieved results, but also a strong call for responsible leadership, innovation, and sustainable business models to become the standard in the region.

Njagulj stressed that the award criteria were carefully developed to ensure a high level of credibility and genuine value. In a time of hyperproduction of awards, special emphasis has been placed on integrity and trust. “Our intention was to build an award that carries real weight and brings true value to its recipients, both in a professional and in a broader social context. It is important to show that it pays off to take bold and responsible steps forward in our communities,” said Njagulj.

The winners are selected by an international independent jury composed of renowned experts in the fields of sustainable development, economics, law, and public policy, as well as last year’s award recipients.

Nominations are open to individuals, organizations, and projects from across the Adria region, with the application deadline set for February 25, 2026.
