The Adria Future Summit is Southeast Europe’s flagship platform for sustainable development, innovation, and investment. Convened annually in Porto Montenegro by Sustineri Partners, in partnership with the Government of Montenegro and under the auspices of the President of Montenegro, the Summit brings together leaders across government, business, finance, and civil society to shape the region’s transition towards a green, digital, and inclusive economy.

From ESG to the Future

With roots in the ESG Adria Summits (2023–2025), this platform has rapidly grown in scale, visibility, and strategic influence. Now reimagined as the Adria Future Summit, it builds on that momentum with a broadened mandate focused on delivering measurable change — connecting local ambition with global capital, and policy vision with private sector action.

When we launched the Summit, it wasn’t about creating another event. It was about creating space for the Adria region to speak in its own voice, to connect across borders, and to show that we can lead on sustainability, innovation, and responsible business. What began as a bold experiment is now a growing ecosystem, and we’re only just getting started.

The first Western Balkans ESG Summit in Porto Montenegro set the stage for regional dialogue on sustainability and introduced Women on Boards Adria.

The Summit deepened international cooperation, broadened its scope, and launched NextGen Adria to empower emerging leaders.

The event grew into a major regional platform, unveiling the Sustainable Adria Awards and Adria ScaleUp Initiative while attracting global attention.

Reimagined as the Adria Future Summit, it expands into a leading hub for innovation, investment, and sustainable transformation across Southeast Europe.

A Platform for Dialogue and Delivery

What distinguishes the Summit is its commitment to moving from discussion to action. In previous editions, the platform has launched and supported:

Adria ScaleUp Initiative: A strategic alliance for start-ups and scale-ups with sustainability at their core. Adria ScaleUp connects innovators with mentors, investors, corporate partners, and policy champions, helping to unlock pathways to growth while advancing the region’s sustainable and digital transformation.
NextGen Adria: A platform for empowering the region’s emerging leaders. It connects young innovators with policymakers, business mentors, and international experts to explore ideas, develop skills, and shape the future of leadership.
Women on Boards Adria (WOBA): A regional initiative promoting gender-diverse governance. WOBA offers training, strategic networking, and peer support to increase the number of women in senior leadership and board positions across the region.
Sustainable Adria Awards: An annual celebration of leadership in sustainability and regional cooperation. The awards recognise outstanding businesses, public institutions, young leaders, and community initiatives advancing the green transition.

These are now embedded in the work of the Adria Future Foundation, established to support year-round research, capacity building, and policy development across Southeast Europe
