About the Summit

Accelerating Southeast Europe’s Green and Digital Transition

A Trusted Regional Platform

The Adria Future Summit is Southeast Europe’s platform for investment, energy and sustainable development. It is held each year in Porto Montenegro convened by Sustineri Partners in partnership with the Government of Montenegro and under the auspices of the President of Montenegro. It brings government, finance, business and institutions into the same room to move regional priorities from policy into delivery.

From ESG to the Future

The summit began as the ESG Adria Summit, held from 2023 to 2025. In 2026 it was held for the first time under its current name. The fourth edition closed on 24 April 2026 after three days in Porto Montenegro, with 1,200 delegates from four continents and 70 panels and forums. Among its outcomes were a 50/50 renewables joint venture between Masdar and Elektroprivreda Crne Gore, a Montenegro and Renexia memorandum on wind, solar, grid and storage, and the announcement of a national Arbitration Centre supported by the AIRE Centre.

A region either waits for the terms of its future to be set for it, or it sets them itself. This summit exists because we have chosen the second.

The first Western Balkans ESG Summit in Porto Montenegro set the stage for regional dialogue on sustainability and introduced Women on Boards Adria.

The Summit deepened international cooperation, broadened its scope, and launched NextGen Adria for emerging regional leaders.

The event grew into a major regional platform, unveiling the Sustainable Adria Awards and Adria ScaleUp Initiative while attracting global attention.

Held for the first time as the Adria Future Summit, with energy, investment, AI, health and rule of law on one programme.

Porto Montenegro: More Than a Venue

Set on the Adriatic coast in Tivat, Porto Montenegro plays a strategic role as both host and founding partner. It anchors the Summit’s vision by:

    • Championing the blue economy and sustainable tourism
    • Leading dialogue on real estate, urbanism, and responsible investment
    • Connecting regional business, capital flows, and global partnerships
    • Hospitality for international guests and delegations
    • Porto Montenegro symbolises Montenegro’s growing ambition to act as a regional hub and European gateway for sustainable transformation.

A Platform for Dialogue and Delivery

The summit is built around delivery, not discussion alone. It has launched and supported:

Adria ScaleUp Initiative: A strategic alliance for start-ups and scale-ups with sustainability at their core. Adria ScaleUp connects innovators with mentors, investors, corporate partners, and policy champions, helping to unlock pathways to growth while advancing the region’s sustainable and digital transformation.

NextGen Adria: A platform for empowering the region’s emerging leaders. It connects young innovators with policymakers, business mentors, and international experts to explore ideas, develop skills, and shape the future of leadership.
Women on Boards Adria (WOBA): A regional initiative promoting gender-diverse governance. WOBA offers training, strategic networking, and peer support to increase the number of women in senior leadership and board positions across the region.

Sustainable Adria Awards: An annual celebration of leadership in sustainability and regional cooperation. The awards recognise outstanding businesses, public institutions, young leaders, and community initiatives advancing the green transition.

These now sit within the Adria Future Foundation, which runs year-round research, capacity building and policy work across the region.
